Element 01
Value Proposition
The core offering. The problem you solve or the benefit you provide, and the reason a user engages at all.
What it is
The value proposition is the core of the model: the problem you solve or the benefit you deliver. Everything else in the cycle exists to carry it to the user. If the proposition is unclear, no amount of delivery saves it.
Its role in the loop
The value proposition sets the target for the whole cycle. It defines who the user is, which devices matter, and what the experience has to deliver. When the loop comes back around, sharper user insight and better delivery let you refine the proposition itself.
What makes a proposition strong
Clear problem
It names a real problem worth solving.
Tangible benefit
The user can feel the gain.
Believable
You can actually deliver on it.
Distinct
It stands apart from the alternatives.
In practice, by industry

How it looks in the real world

Common pitfalls
- 01Describing features instead of the benefit.
- 02A proposition only the founder fully understands.
- 03Solving a problem nobody is paying to solve.
Ask yourself
- Can a stranger repeat your proposition after one sentence?
- Is the benefit something the user can actually feel?
- Could a competitor claim the exact same thing?
